2. A Good Run Of Bad Luck

country singer clint black

A Good Run Of Bad Luck from Clint Black was released in 1994 as the lead single from his album "No Time to Kill". The song was written by Clint Black and Hayden Nicholas.

The song is an up-tempo country-rock track that tells the story of a man who is experiencing a string of good luck after a long period of bad luck. The lyrics describe the character's newfound confidence and sense of freedom as he takes chances and enjoys the ride. The chorus proclaims, "I've had a good run of bad luck; I've got a good chance to mess it up".

Musically, "A Good Run of Bad Luck" features electric guitar riffs and a driving rhythm section, as well as Black's signature vocals. The song has a catchy, upbeat melody that has made it a fan favorite.

The song was a commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the US. It also charted in Canada, reaching number six on the RPM Country Tracks chart. The song earned Black a nomination for the Best Country Vocal Performance, Male at the 1995 Grammy Awards.

The song's popularity has led to its use in various films, television shows, and commercials over the years. It has also been covered by other artists, including Reba McEntire and Sawyer Brown.
