1. Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys

mama dont let your babies grow up to be cowboys waylon jennings

Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys was a duet song from Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson from their 1978 album Waylon & Willie. Ed Bruce and his wife Patsy wrote the song a few years earlier and was recorded by Ed and also by Chris Ledoux before Waylon and Willie's 1978 version which went to #1 on the country charts.

I use a drop D tuning here with a down down up down up and repeat rhythm pattern. There is no lead break in the original but I've put one in this version. The chords needed are D, G, A7, E, A and B7.
