Demo Tips & Pdf

The Sutherland Brothers wrote and recorded Sailing back in 1972. Rod Stewarts girlfriend at the time turned him onto the duo and he took a liking to this song Sailing as a track from his 6th studio album "Atlantic Crossing" which debuted in 1975. He had no intention to release the song as a single, but that's what happened, and it was an International success reach #1 in several European countries, but peaking at #58 in the US.

Rod Stewart I Am Sailing Lyrics

I am sailing, I am sailing - home again 'cross the sea
I am sailing, stormy waters - to be near you, to be free
I am flying, I am flying - like a bird - 'cross the sky
I am flying, passing high clouds - to be with you, to be free
Can you hear me, can you hear me - thro' the dark night, faraway
I am dying, forever trying - to be with you, who can say

Can you hear me, can you hear me- thro' the dark night far away
I am dying, forever trying - to be with you, who can say
We are sailing, we are sailing- home again -'cross the sea
We are sailing stormy waters-to be near you, to be free
Oh Lord, to be near you, to be free
Oh Lord, to be near you, to be free
Oh Lord, to be near you, to be free
