Here on this Shiny Happy People chords page you'll find my acoustic guitar demo, purchase link to the full lesson, the lyrics to the song as well as a free .pdf to the Shiny Happy People sheet you can download.
As you know, this song starts off slow and picks up speed and repeats the same pattern in the middle of the number.
The chords you'll need here are:
In the chorus you have an over-lapping of the vocals so if you're performing this alone, you'll have to figure out what part of the line you're going to drop as I do in my demo here.
The rhythm is basically down strokes in the beginning but if you're not picking anything, that area you could play d-u-d-u-d-d-u- d-u-d-u-d-d-u- and so on which covers the Bm and E in this first segment and the A in the second segment.
Once you begin singing you can use a d-d-u-d-u-d-u .... d-d-u-d-u-d-u- and on the G in the last line you can use downstrokes as you decend to the E chord.
The only picking in this is the riff which is mainly on the E string as described in the lesson as a series of pull-offs on the Bm chord and then played on the 2nd fret on the E chord.
Thanks for stopping by this Shiny Happy People chords page and I hope the info here was helpful.
