Welcome to this country bands in the 90s page where you'll find many great songs you can easily learn on the acoustic.
This section of the website has a list of all of the country music bands on my site that do not have enough interest in them to warrant their own section as of yet. That may change over time, but as a reminder, not all bands here are from the 1990s.

Bad Timing is track from the 1994 album Five Days In July by Blue Rodeo. This song is the anthem song for Blue Rodeo fans.
The song reached the top 20 in Canada and won a Juno Award in 1994 for the band. The song has been in several films and TV shows and has been covered by Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan.
Elvira was performed by The Oak Ridge Boys and was released as a single in 1981. The song was written by Dallas Frazier and became the band's signature song and their biggest hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
The song features a catchy chorus that repeats the name "Elvira" over and over again, as the lead vocalist expresses his infatuation with a woman who has caught his eye. The lyrics also contain humorous wordplay and double entendres, such as "My heart's on fire, Elvira" and "Giddy up oom poppa oom poppa mow mow."
Musically, "Elvira" is an up-tempo country song with a strong southern gospel influence. The track features four-part harmonies from The Oak Ridge Boys and is driven by a prominent bass line.
"Elvira" has since become a country music classic and has been covered by numerous artists. The song has also been featured in popular culture, including films and television shows. In 1982, the track won a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
The track can be found on their Fancy Free album.
Heaven's Just A Sin Away was a #1 hit for The Kendall's back in 1977 from their album of the same name. They also won a Grammy Award for best country performance by a duo.
The song has also been covered by Kelly Willis and John Forgerty.
Honky Tonk Heart this
song was co-written by Russel Smith from The Amazing Rhythm Aces and
was recorded by Highway 101 for their 1989 album "Highway 101".
Midnight Mess Around is a track from Old Dominion's 2019 album Old Dominion.
This
song was never released as a single. The band made a music video of
themselves in the studio recording the song which makes me scratch my
head as to why make a video of a song if there is no single
being released? Four other songs from the album were singles.
Norma Jean Riley was not the original title for this song. It was to be called Pretty Little Lady, but a female name won out. It was one of 5 singles from their 1992 album "Diamond Rio"
Trashy Women was
first recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker in 1989 but he failed to break into
the top 40 with his version. Four years later in 1993, Confederate
Railroad scored a #10 on the Billboard Country charts.
The song is from their debut album "Confederate Railroad".
